Jordanna is a small town girl from central Alberta. She came to Canmore in 2003 to visit a close friend. Three months later she moved to the friendly mountain town and has called it home since. She truly loves working as a hair design stylist and meeting all the happy brides and their families. She feels very grateful to be able to do what she loves professionally each and every day. Her attention to detail, great organizational skills and calm nature make the day to day administrative tasks run as smoothly as they should, and your wedding day as stress free as possible.
Jordanna has extensive hair design training and experience. Starting out in the beauty industry in a 3 year cosmetology course, she learned which aspects of being a beautician she loved. Jordanna received her hair design diploma and officially starting in the bridal hair styling industry in 2011. She started by subcontracting herself out to one of the first mobile wedding hairstyling companies in the area. By doing this she learned a great deal from her mentor. A year later she officially launched her company "Jk Hair Designs". She successfully ran Jk hair designs for 3 years before rebranding to what we are now "Lilies & Lace beauty co." . Jordanna wanted to rebrand to capture more of the feel of who she's grown to become and to better represent her brand & team.
Jordanna enjoys taking workshops such as "Tigi Principle Styling" "Moroccanoil Art of bridal" "Moroccanoil knot work advanced braid work" and "Hair & Makeup by Steph" a world renowned bridal hair stylist, to evolve her skills and she never stops learning. She has enjoyed meeting hundreds of happy brides and running her successful mobile beauty companies in the Canadian Rockies.
Candice is an active passionate mountain girl. With a zest for life and a pride in her work. She has a need to ensure peoples happiness and enjoys being a part of the positive energy surrounding weddings. Her understanding and good-humoured attitude will put you at ease. She has a great knack for creating the style you’re envisioning and making your dream style a reality.
Her love of travel, creativity and styling inspired her to attend the Aveda Institute Victoria in 2009. Upon graduation Candice moved back to her home town of Canmore where she opened Tying Knots, the first mobile wedding styling company in the Bow Valley. Through Tying Knots & JK Hair Designs, Jordanna and Candice began collaborating on weddings and events together. They have been working alongside one another ever since. After 5 successful years of running Tying Knots, Candice’s love of freedom and travel put Tying Knots to rest.
Now, along with styling with Lilies & Lace, Candice is a cycling and hiking guide. Who’s passion for travel has allowed her to style hair in France, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Costa Rica and coast to coast in Canada. We are always happy to have her fun loving self and bubbly personality on the team when she isn’t out chasing adventure.
Natalia is a prairie girl from Winnipeg, who followed a travel bug to Banff in 2011. She brought with her the experience of working for on of the top salons in the city, and the desire for new adventure in one of the most beautiful places in Canada. A red seal stylist, having taken courses with Redken and Aveda, Natalia developed a passion for bridal hairstyling from her first few months attending Scientific Marvel's Hairstyling program in 2007. In Banff she was able to put her skills to good use working with the lovely ladies as a mobile wedding hairstylist for Botega Hair Salon. In early 2016 Jordanna discovered Natalia and she's been a valuable part of the team since.
She really enjoys the creative freedom that styling hair offers. In an age where technology is taking the place of human affection,she feels it's incredibly rewarding to work with people in such an intimate setting.
Natalia will take care of you on your special day. Her quite, yet professional demeanour creates a relaxing environment. She is patient and attentive, with an eye for detail. Understanding how stressful a wedding can be, she will do everything to put you and your party at ease.
Christine found her passion for the beauty industry at a young age when she stepped into her first cosmetology class in high school. In 2009 she obtained her Red Seal Diploma Certification from Delmar College of Hair Design. Over the last decade Christine has led a very rewarding career, working and managing some of Calgary's best salons, providing hairstyling for the Calgary stampeder outrider cheerleaders, and a few celebrities along the way including; Shawn Desman, Alyssa Reid and Martin Sheen. She continues her education whenever possible, most recently obtaining her makeup certification.
Christine has been working in the wedding industry for over five years. She won best bridal hair styling for Calgary Wedding Industry Awards in 2015, and has been featured in Blush Magzine and Bridal Fantasy Magazine. The wedding industry has become a big passion of hers and she looks forward to the busy wedding season every year. She loves working with the bride on her big day to help her feel and look her absolute best!
Christine joined our team in March, 2017. We've loved having her and her talents on the Lilies & Lace Beauty Co. team to help create some wedding magic!
Yuki graduated in Japan at a hair & beauty college in 2006. She started her career working for a lovely small salon there called Les Cheveux de KIWA in Osaka. It had only two stylist chairs so it felt more personal and she was able to learn a great deal that way.
Her passion for up-do's became bigger and bigger as there was lots of formal styling work in Japan. As they wear kimonos for lots of events such as initiation, graduation, engagements and of course weddings. She started to want to show her skills and improve them overseas particularly in London. Yuki worked in one of the biggest salons in London called Headmasters, as a master hair designer. While she was there she had an interview and audition for London fashion week.She became on of the Art Team Members at London fashion week, doing photoshoots for magazines and also educating other stylists at the academy.
Over her 12 years of being a hairstylist, she's obtained tons of practical experience working in various salons all over the world; Japan, Australia, New Zealand, England and now here in Canada.
We're very excited to welcome her to the team as of May 2017, and she can't wait to meet all her current and future happy brides.
Heather completed her red Seal hairstyling education in early 2009 in her home town Ottawa. She moved to Banff in 2009 after a job opening presented itself to her. She lived and worked (and fell in love!) in Banff for 3 years, where she mastered her wedding skills & took every possible training along the way.
Heather relocated to Calgary & joined L'Oreal Professional education team, where her Bachelor of Science background really helped her make the jump into teaching. Heather now runs her own independent home based business where she offers cutting, colouring and styling. When she's not busy with that you'll find her out in the mountains working with our team.
Heather has been doing wedding hair for over 10 years and has been featured in wedding bells magazine, Rocky Mountain bride Magazine and Calgary Bridal Guide. Heather joined Lilies & Lace Beauty Co. mid 2017 and we're thrilled to have her & her talents a part of our family of artists!
In 2001 Lori moved to the bow valley from her small home town in New Brunswick and quickly fell in love with the mountain lifestyle. She became passionate about makeup artistry from a young age, doing makeovers on her sisters and friends. After completing esthetic school and working in a few spas over the years, she found her calling. Makeup artistry was where she truly shined.
She now has over eleven year's experience as a professional makeup artist. She Specializes in wedding and photography makeup. Using top of the line products for a naturally flawless look that will last all day long. Lori is always eager to learn new techniques.
Jordanna first met Lori when she was on the hunt for her own makeup artist for her wedding day in 2009. After her bridal trial with Lori Jordanna knew she was the perfect fit for her. She listened to what Jordanna wanted and tried a few looks out so Jordanna felt comfortable. Ever since then Jordanna & Lori have worked alongside each other.
Lori's professionalism, skill, and laid back personality enables her to create a relaxing environment while working with you to achieve the look you want on your special day.
Nicole has been an artist since she was a little girl, flowing from oil painting, which she still loves doing, to makeup artistry. Growing up, she first got into her love for makeup artistry by giving her friends and family makeovers and doing photoshoots just for fun in her teenager years. Nicole gets inspiration from music, travelling the world, nature and art. She loves spending time with family & friends.
Nicole graduated in 2010 as a Professional Makeup Artist from Calgary's Artists Within. She likes to keep up to date on the current beauty trends and makeup brands through workshops, following her favourite world renowned makeup artists work, runway looks & trends online and in bridal fashion magazines. Nicole has been an integral part of the team since mid 2016 and has been praised by all her clients with us since that time. We're so happy to have her on the team and she fits in perfectly!
Nicole is a quite, sensitive and loving person who wants nothing more than to make you feel calm and beautiful on your special occasion. Nicole is a very talented makeup artist who can do any makeup look, but her favourite style is to enhance a womans beauty, not cover it up with tons of makeup. She believes every woman is beautiful in he down way, and there is nothing better in the world than to help each of her clients see their beauty shine through.
Makeup Artist & Hairstylist Assistant
Amy grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She moved to Canmore in 2014 for the beautiful scenic views and love for all things beauty. Whether it be the picturesque mountains, skincare, hair or makeup.
Amy started her cosmetology career at Shoppers beauty boutique in Canmore as a beauty consultant. She received in depth education about the anatomy of skin, product ingredient and how they affect the skin. From this she learnt how to recommend routines and treatments for all skin types. She also learned makeup techniques from brand representatives of some of the most sought after cosmetic brands including smash box, Stila, Estee Lauder,Lance, Clinique, Lise Watier and Clarins. Her broad knowledge of beauty brands allows her to pick and choose the very best products for each of her clients.
Amy completed her makeup artistry certification at the Eveline Charles Academy in Calgary in early 2016. To take her career a step further she is currently apprenticing as a hairstylist. Amy loves the creativity of makeup and she takes pride and pleasure in enhancing the individual beauty of each of her clients.
