Bridal Photoshoot at Moraine Lake

We we're approached by Steven Wallace Photography asking if we'd be interested in collaborating for an upcoming bridal photoshoot they were organized to be held at Moraine Lake. We of course said yes, as we love doing styled photo shoots.  You get to release your creativity more and all the vendors work together closely to bring everyone's vision to life. We helped Steven put together the amazing team of vendors (see bottom of blog for credits), and we're so happy with how it turned out!

I created this textured half up hairstyle with a sweeping french fishtail braid and accent smaller fishtail braid around the back for our beautiful model Chris. Complemented with soft waves for more of that boho feel.  The makeup artist Mel went with a darker eye makeup and full lashes for a pop of colour and to tie in with the bouquet colours.

All the little details from the ribbon tails wrapped around the bouquet, the naked two tiered cake with silver cake stand and turquoise necklace all compliment each other and the scenery beautifully.

In our opinion there's not many places in the world more beautiful than Moraine Lake, which is located just outside the village of Lake Louise, Alberta. It's situated in the Valley of the ten peaks and the lake colour is almost like someone coloured it that way, it's so picturesque! The winding mountain road leading to Moraine Lake is open only from Mid May to the end of September every year, and it's always a popular tourist spot (obviously). We find the best time to visit is early before 9 a.m. or after 5 p.m. to ensure you'll get parking and not feel like a sardine with the crowds. Or better yet hop on a bus tour, to sit back & relax. If your visiting the Canadian Rockies it's a must see for sure!
